Meals: on your own
Morning / Afternoon
Welcome to Xi’an, the capital of thirteen dynasties.
After settling in, feel free to explore at your own pace.
Evening
Immerse yourself in the city’s rhythm:
Enjoy local opera, Shaanxi-style crosstalk, or stand-up comedy at Qingqu Club (Baishulin) or Yisu Society (Anban Street).
Or head to Defu Alley, a cozy street filled with teahouses and cafés that blend Chinese tradition and modern charm — a perfect place to sip tea and feel the pulse of the old capital after dark.
Meals: lunch included
Morning
Travel to Lintong District to visit the Museum of the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, one of the greatest archaeological discoveries in human history.
Explore Pits 1–3, where thousands of life-sized soldiers, horses, and chariots guard the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang.
Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this subterranean army — known as The Eighth Wonder of the World — bridges the gap between legend and reality.
Afternoon
After enjoying Da Qin beef hotpot, visit the Huaqing Palace (Huaqing Hot Springs) at the foot of Mount Li.
Once an imperial retreat for emperors and consorts, this garden complex combines natural beauty and historical romance — especially the legendary love story of Emperor Xuanzong and Lady Yang Guifei.
As steam rises from ancient pools, you can almost hear the echoes of Tang melodies drifting across the gardens.
Evening (Optional)
Watch The Empress of the Great Tang, a magnificent stage production portraying the rise of Wu Zetian, China’s only female emperor — a dazzling performance of Tang elegance, intrigue, and power.
Meals: on your own
Morning
Begin your day at the Xi’an City Wall, one of China’s best-preserved ancient fortifications.
Walk or cycle along its ramparts, where each brick holds the rhythm of history.
Then enter The Twelve Hours of Chang’an, an immersive Tang-style marketplace inspired by the hit TV series, where you can interact with live NPCs, collect Tang coins, and experience the grandeur of ancient Chang’an firsthand.
Afternoon
Head to Yongxingfang, a lively Tang-inspired food street near the city wall.
Taste the true flavors of Shaanxi — from Roujiamo (meat sandwich) to Biangbiang noodles, Changan roast chicken, and sweet fermented rice wine — as folk performances and crafts bring old traditions to life.
Then transform yourself in a Hanfu Experience, donning traditional attire and hairstyle for a moment of Tang Dynasty grace and beauty.
Visit the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, built in 652 CE by Monk Xuanzang to preserve Buddhist scriptures from India. Its architectural balance symbolizes harmony between heaven and earth.
Evening
Stroll through the Great Tang Ever-Bright City, Xi’an’s most iconic cultural boulevard.
Under lanterns and poetry lights, 200+ performers reenact the bustling glory of the Tang era — merchants, poets, dancers, and scholars all come alive, offering a dazzling farewell to the ancient capital.
