Welcome to Xi’an, the ancient capital of thirteen dynasties.
After check-in, enjoy some leisure time or begin exploring the city at your own pace.
Evening
Experience the cultural charm of Xi’an after dark:
Attend a local show of Shaanxi opera, crosstalk, or comedy at Qingqu Club (Baishulin) or Yisu Society (Anban Street).
Or unwind with friends at Defu Alley, a street filled with Chinese- and Western-style teahouses — from quiet corners to lively cafés, each offering its own mood.
Sip fragrant tea and feel the city’s history breathe through the night air.
Meals: lunch included
Morning
Depart for Lintong District to visit the Museum of the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of the 20th century.
Explore Pits 1 to 3 — thousands of life-sized warriors and horses standing in silent formation for over two millennia.
Recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, it is hailed as the Eighth Wonder of the World, a monument to the vision and power of the First Emperor of Qin.
Afternoon
Enjoy a flavorful Da Qin beef hotpot for lunch.
Continue to Huaqing Palace (Huaqing Hot Springs), a royal garden and bathing resort at the foot of Mount Li with over 3,000 years of history.
Once the romantic retreat of Emperor Xuanzong and his beloved Consort Yang Guifei, its spring pools and Tang-style pavilions still echo with the grace and tragedy of that legendary love story.
Evening
Return to the city for dinner and an optional performance of The Empress of the Great Tang, China’s first grand palace dance drama.
This stunning production depicts the life of Empress Wu Zetian, the nation’s only female ruler — a spectacle of music, power, and Tang splendor.
Meals: on your own
Morning
Begin your day at the Xi’an City Wall, the oldest and best-preserved ancient fortification in China.
Walk or cycle along its 14-kilometer ramparts for panoramic views of the old and new city — a journey through centuries of heritage.
Then step into The Twelve Hours of Chang’an, China’s first Tang-style immersive cultural district.
Inspired by the famous drama series, this interactive street lets you “travel back in time” to ancient Chang’an, meeting costumed NPCs and unlocking your own Tang-era adventure.
Afternoon
Head to Yongxingfang, a Tang-inspired food street near the City Wall. Here you can taste Xi’an’s signature dishes — Roujiamo (meat sandwich), Biangbiang noodles, sweet rice wine, and Chang’an roast chicken — while watching folk performances and craft demonstrations.
Later, embrace tradition with a Hanfu makeover — wear China’s ancient attire and step into a living Tang-style portrait.
Visit the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, built in 652 CE by Monk Xuanzang to enshrine Buddhist scriptures brought from India. Its graceful form embodies the spiritual balance of Tang architecture.
Evening
End your day at the Great Tang Ever-Bright City, Xi’an’s iconic night avenue filled with lanterns and live performances.
Actors portraying Tang merchants, poets, and dancers bring the golden era back to life as the street glows like a “celestial market in the sky.”
